It's a real, live baby!

Tonight, while Brian was reading Ellie's Bible stories before bed, I could feel the baby moving quite a bit, so I asked Ellie if she wanted to try to feel it - duh! She and Brian both put their hands on my belly and felt it move a few times. We told her it could probably hear us talking and she could tell it something. So, in true Ellie fashion, she chose to tell the baby about...breakfast! This child loves breakfast as much as her mommy - I mean, this is one meal we don't miss. So, she told the baby that she eats raisin bran for breakfast and then proceeded to blow some pretty impressive raspberries on my belly. What a little cutie-pie!

New Look:)

Okay, so I changed the look of the blog again! It turned out the other one was pretty hard to read. Now I've got to add all the widgets again - which I'll get to another time! Enjoy another of my favorite colors:)

While Daddy and Daughter are Away...

Mommy will play!

Brian and his mom took Ellie to see her great-grandfather, Grandpa Stan, this weekend, so I got a long weekend to relax, sleep in, etc. Unfortunately that was not the case since I have been under the weather and my church is in the midst of church directory pictures - which meant that I spent some time there on Saturday. But, I was determined to get a few things done and I did - yeah! I shopped BY MYSELF without saying don't touch - except to myself! I went out for a girls night of sushi and Made of Honor - so cute! And...I worked on some projects. First, I updated our front door a little bit. Found the cute chair at an antiques place and made the cushion. The red chair I found at TJ Maxx and couldn't pass it up for Ellie! And who wouldn't love a fern at their front door. All that's missing is a cute Welcome sign. Don't worry - I'm on the hunt. Then, I made a pillowcase dress for Ellie to wear to Amy's graduation from grad school at UGA. A red and black dress wasn't too hard to make since those are my favorite colors of all time! Once this dang cough goes away, I'm on to more projects - especially after Friday! By the way, I feel this baby moving all the time - what a comfort!

Mommy, these are so cute!

Hot Pink with Polka Dots for the girl and...tired looking feet for the mom!

That was Ellie's exclamation after she and I had an afternoon appointment to get our toenails done! I've almost become addicted to having the salon perfectly paint my french pedicured toes, that I hardly think of doing them myself anymore. Usually I go with my girlfriends; but this time, it was a mommy/daughter date - Ellie's first time! She picked out the color and it was fun watching her try to sit still for such a long time! We only both got our toes painted - no pedicures - so it wasn't that long; but for a two-year old, just having to sit still is hard! I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to spend such quality time with just her before the next baby arrives. We find out on Friday what it is!!
