Power of a Positive Mom

Have y'all read this book yet? I'm borrowing it right now (from Ellie's teacher!) and I need to just get on Amazon and buy it. I'd heard the title from other moms; but hadn't been so desperate (not that the other moms were desperate - that's just how I was feeling) that I really NEEDED to read it. It is soooo good and I am so glad Jackie let me borrow it. I'm sure the rest of my family and God are too since I was really disappointing him with my attitude!

A new camera doesn't make a good photographer!

We just got this new camera and I am determined to learn how to use it to it's fullest capacity! I know some of you who read this are either professional photographers or really good amateur photographers. PLEASE send me some tips! I'm begging you! I do plan to read the book that came with it, of course; but would love to hear of some other photography books that you recommend. My family photo album (and this camera) thanks you!

Everyone keeps telling me that Ellie and Aubrey look identical (as babies, I guess), so I thought I'd pull out some pictures and see.

Celebrations

This past weekend, we went over to Pensacola again to throw my parents a 60th birthday party. They do not look or act their age at all and we are so thankful to have such youthful parents! We had lots of fun and realized that this is the first time we've ever thrown them a party. Mom turned 60 two weeks before dad and they're having a blast. 60 brings them 4 grown children, 2 grandbabies and one on the way, 2 sons-in-law, continued health and happiness, tons of wisdom (and kids who want to hear it!). We love you, mom and dad! Keep on keepin' on!

Brian has been busy increasing his gun collection and learning everything about them. Of course he wants to go hunting soon...! But, in the meantime, he's gotten dad, the brothers and the brother in law out to the shooting range the past two times we've been to Pensacola. It's great to see our men having a blast - no pun intended!
